The base- F21 Ml ment was transformed into a beautiful flower garden, potted plants, ,131 yellow and white rosebuds, and the Junior-Senior Class colors were lf, iw I used in the decorations Music was furnished by Mrs. O. H. Wilcox and ' - her orchestra. Rev K. Palmer Miller of Princeton, Indiana was a special 111 ' guest, his address being a feature of the evening. R-oy Kavanaugh acted uw HV as toasrtmaster and responses were mad-e by Roy Berry, Superintendent Lyness, and Dr. B. F. Humphrey. The 'guests included the Seniors, Jun- T ions, Board of Education, and their wives, the Faculty, and Rev. Miller who delivered the Commencement Address. ' 1 1 KIWANIS FCOTBALL BANQUET 1924-1925 On December 12th, 1924 the Kiwanis Club 'entertained with a Q11 banquet in honor of the football team who won the Western Kentucky 1 1' Championship of 1924. The Kiwanians make this an annual affair. l ' K, Speakers of the evening were Coach B. R. Meidinger, Leiter Simp-1 Q K son, Captaing Liston Merritt, Captain-elect, and various members of the 3' ly y y team. Music was furnished by Carrie Melton, Orvalette Hearth, and 11-1 4 A 1 Mr.1H. VV. Haapanen. , , p FATHER AND SON BANQUET ,i ,1 On the evening of Decemiber 22, 1924, the Annual Father and Son QQ Banquet was given by the Hi-Y Club. Speeches were made by Warren 571.11 1 Eilis, President of the Hi-Y, Mr. T. E. Jenkins, and several of the fath- My ers. Supt. Fred Shultz had charge of the program, the m-ain features of the eveninlg beineg the Boys' Higlh School Quartet and an Address by A fi Mr. M. E. Eastinl., Sr. This was a general get-to-gether meeting, each cgi boy bringing his father or some other cl1o-se friend. Musicwas' furnished on piano and violin by Carrie Melton, Mary bf , 11 Proctor King and Crvalette Harth. ,, l 1 K ' JENKINS-WHITSELL BANQUET 1 1 1 One of the best banquets ever held in Sturgis was given by Messrs. , , T. E. Jenkins and J. F. Wlhitsell in honor ofthe Footb-all Squad. Noth- if ing was left undone which could add to the pleasure of the boys. Y 1 lm Speeches were made by Messrs. -Jenkins, Whitsell, O.
