To many of us, Mr. Raymond C. Smith is a disembodied, though familiar voice on the radio. He broadcasts the school program at noon and all Sturgis High School football and basketball games. In reality, Mr. Smith is much more than a radio commentator. He has taught in the Stur¬ gis school system for twenty-one years, he is a guidance counselor, and he is instrumental in the summer Day Camp program. Mr. Smith teaches American literature and English 9. A career of forty-six years as a teacher has made him an efficient and capable instructor and an understanding and sympathetic counselor. To you, Mr. Smith, in thankful recognition of your long years of devotion and service to youth, we the class of 1965 dedicate the 1965 Sturgensian.
