Each year students, faculty, parents and others look forward to the publication of the yearbook. Many become curious as to the format of THIS year ' s book and how it differs from preceding years. After the initial curiosity has been satisfied, a deeper interest develops as one browses through the yearbook, looking at the pictures and articles. Life perhaps could be compared to looking through the yearbook. There is curiosity about new things happening, but this is often a surface interest. For those who are to succeed, a more last¬ ing interest must be developed. As one develops meaningful interest, it becomes evident that chal- length are ever present. Challenges set goals and as these goals are accomplished new goals de¬ velop. The theme of this year ' s yearbook is Challenge. The Sturgensian Staff, the Faculty Advisor, and all other people responsible for the production of this fine yearbook have met their challenge by having the yearbook completed and published. Now it is up to each of us to meet our challenges as we travel the highway of life and as we refer back to this y ear ' s yearbook in years to come, reminiscing, we will be reminded that the 1964-65 yearbook staff challenged us to meet our personal goals. of Providing the Best in Education This group of dedicated men has been constantly devoted to the cause of better education in the Sturgis Public Schools. They have given of their time unselfish¬ ly to provide higher quality teachers, curriculum, and equip¬ ment for the benefit of every stu¬ dent from elementary school through graduation. Their effort for our schools s hould not pass unnoticed because they are not personally in evidence. Their in¬ fluence is everywhere. Messages to Student Body I am happy to have the opportunity to congratulate the Sturgensian Staff, the Faculty Advisor, and all the other people who have been responsible for the pro¬ duction of this very fine yearbook. The theme of this year ' s yearbook, Challenge, seems very appropriate and should definitely be thought provoking for all of us at this time. This yearbook depicts through words and pictures an accurate and interesting history of the many activ¬ ities of Sturgis Senior High School throughout the past year and portrays the personal characteristics, ambi¬ tions, and accomplishments of the individual members of the Senior Class. The value of this yearbook to its possessors will increase as the years go by, for it will serve as an enjoyable source of information during the many occasions for reminiscences which will present themselves in the future.
