The Spring Festival and the Christmas program are two of the events jiarticipated in this year by this group. Under an experimental program the criticism of judging was rated to a point where only a small percentage of students would receive a superior rating. Sturges again earned the best record in the city by receiving 6 superior ratings out of 1 1 entries. Those who received superiors were Sandy Hughes, 7th grade humorous; Karen Robinson, 8th grade serious; Helene Tanner, 8th grade humorous; Lorinda Britton, 8th grade humorous; Lani Smiley, 9th grade serious; and Bob Barrows, 9th grade humorous.
