Kindergarten In Kindergarten we had an enrollment of 11 boys and 13 girls. The children learned to play together and to follow instructions. They did some work with numbers and phonics. We enjoyed the Halloween parade and party, Christmas program, Valentine party, and the annual picnic. The first of the school year brought new experiences to first graders, such as staying at school all day, making new friends, and learning many different subjects. The main activity during the year consisted of be- ing active members of Buddy’s Earth Patrol; our projects included learning about the various kinds of pol- lution, making anti-litter posters, and picking up trash on the playground and on the way home. 53
