Karen Winn, Karen Kay Griffith. Brent Connolly, Mike Briscoe. Bill Pollock, Keven Spenc, Darren Galloway, Lori Richards, THIRD ROW: Karome Sheard, Cristal Jones, Paul Huskey, Bruce Pollard. Kevin Barrett, Douglas Woodruff, John Parks, Francis Everhart, Robert Baucom. There were 26 of us who answered the roll call August 24. We lost one pupil and gained 2. We now have 27. We have enjoyed especially some units in Science, Arith., and Art work.

Second and Fourth Grade FIRST ROW: Stormy Brooks, Penny Richards, Janice Bradley, Tracy Connelly, Connie Simms, Jcri Lynn Griffith, Mrs. Cox. SECOND ROW: Tim Barnes, Randall Richards, Randy Allen, Romniic Hayes, Anthony Hayes. THIRD ROW: Ricky Smith. Donald Bradley, Jeff Williams. Scott Richards, David Owens. This has been a busy year for us. The second grade learned cursive writing, multiplication, and division. Almost all the fourth graders have learned their multiplication tables perfectly. Its been fun having our two grades together, and we can help each other often. At Christmas time we had a Mexican Posada (Christ- mas Play) which we put on for the other grades. We ended our Christmas celebration by breaking the pinata full of candy.

Second Grade FRONT ROW: Mrs. Kcmner, Michelle Current, Laurie Spurting, Kile Woods, Kenny Griggs, Joyce Whitney. SECOND ROW: Troy Stone, Greg Kelly, Kcnon Bybee, Jeffery Stephens, Suzy Blakcmorc, Zelda l urlong. THIRD ROW: Lloyd McKenzie, Scott Heath, Tim Robinson, Robert Thompson, Richie Trask, Glenn Rush, Kevin Brown, George Riechert, Barbara Bloemkcr was absent. The second grade has enjoyed various activities during the 1970-1971 school year. We have had two reading groups and each of them have enjoyed dramatizing some of their stories for the other group. They enjoyed a Halloween and Valentine party given by their room mothers, Mrs. Dwayne Heath and Mrs. Ronald Current. The second grade played their Rhythm band instruments for the Christmas program and later played some numbers for the Kindergarten, first and third grades. They also dramatized the play “The Three Little Pigs” for the same group. In science, after studying their Unit on “Birds in Our Community,” they enjoyed an art project and made the birds studied in slat and flour, and painted them with Tempera paints. They wre very pretty and colorful.
