Wins State Contest Riture Farmers of America is an organization for high school students who study vocational agriculture. Its primary aim is the development of agricultural leadership, cooperation and citizenship. Members compete in federation, area, and state forestry contests, in a degree team contest, public speaking contest, and dairy judging contests. They also sponsor a Father-Son Banquet, and attend a Federation Banquet and State Con¬ vention. James Ingle, Johnnie Roberson, and Nash Wi 11 i a m s , members of the Stuart F. F.A. Learn By Serving Others Christmas baskets for patients of the local nursing home were prepared by F.H.A. members. F.H.A. girls enjoy a hard-earned meal after serving at the Rotary Club banquet. Future Homemakers of America is an organization of students who have had at least one year in home economics. Its main purpose is learning to live better to¬ day in order that members’ lives and those of their families may be better tomorrow. There are three degrees of achievement that may be earned oy outstanding work in F.H.A.-Junior Homemaker Degree, Chapter Homemaker Degree, and State Homemaker Degree. VIRGINIA- CAROLINA OFFICE MACHINE COMPANY MissBeamer and Nellie arrange the toy display in the home economics cottage.
