mm- The F.F.A. is a national organization of pupils studying vocational agriculture. It is an intra-curriculum activity, having its origin and root in a definite part of the school curriculum -- vocational agriculture. Among other things, members learn through active par¬ ticipation how to conduct and take part in a public meeting, to speak in public, to buy and sell coop¬ eratively, to solve their own problems, to finance themselves, and to assume civic responsibility. The foundation upon which the Future Farmers of America organization is built includes lead¬ ership and character development, sportsman¬ ship, cooperation, service, thrift, scholarship, improved agriculture, o r gani z e d recreation, citizenship, and patriotism.
