PROPHECY (continued) Mrs. James Collins, the former Ruth Shockley, owns a tobacco farm near Stuart, and has become quite rich from her invention of the cigarette for the people that don ' t smoke. Elva and Thelma Gray are now star guards on the famous basketball team, The Girl Trotters. Rebecca Tatum has attained her highest goal--private secretary to the President. Dorothy Martin ' s latest book, How to Hold Two Men, has won her fame. The former Margaret Puckett is celebrating her 10th wedding anniversary and now has ten ears of Corns. Mary Margaret Spence has finished Berea College and is working as a secretary. Margaret Hopkins is now head nurse at Stuart Hospital. Shirley Willard is an airplane stewardess on the new super jet and makes a daily flight from New York to Paris. Betty Jean Williams and Mary Ruth Smith own the famous Glamour Shoppe in Hollywood. Betty Jean designs clothes for the movie stars and Mary is the leading hairdresser. Vera Williams is still single because she has so many boy friends, she can ' t decide which one to marry. Carolyn Ray is now head of the Red Cross Division in Winston Salem, N.C. Allie Mae Rogers and Nancy Gunter are now co-owners of the Stork Club in New York. Annie Ruth Creasey is their bookkeeper. After Shirley Faye and I had gotten home that night, we thought over all that had happened to our classmates and we realized that we had graduated from a very famous class. Mr. Williams couldn ' t injure himself teaching Agriculture? Mrs. Gertrude Hopkins had 12 students in Algebra n? Mrs. Lemons came to school every day? Harold couldn ' t go to church twice on Sunday? Mr. Moir ' s team won State Championship this year? Mary Ruth came to school without being sleepy-eyed? Elva and Thelma didn ' t fuss? Fern got her class money to check out right? Ruth lost her friendly smile? John couldn ' t keep the score at ball games? Bruce grew 8 inches? Margaret Hopkins had to come to school at 9 o ' clock? Dorothy couldn ' t see the East on week-ends? Carolyn Ray went on a diet, (sue would buy a new wardrobe)? You could hear Allie Mae when she spoke? Erlene talked in class? Vera couldn ' t tell of her experiences over the week-end? Mary Margaret couldn ' t become a secretary? Edna could tell something without laughing? Betty Willard lost her ability to play basketball? Mr. Weaver thought of something? The Glee Club hadn ' t been organized by Mr. Watkins? Darlyne lost her comb, mirror, and lipstick, but mostof all. Dud? Betty Jean stopped hearing from a certain guy in the Army? Mrs. Dalton lost her ability to hear? Mrs. Hazelwood had to walk all the way to school one morning? Mrs. Mildred Hopkins lost her temper? Dorothy Hughes couldn’t ride a school bus to work? Rebecca decided to come a school teacher? Thelma didn ' t have candy to eat in her afternoon classes? Elva didn ' t have a way home from ball games? Mr. Watkins couldn ' t have conferences every day?
