A Lab Assistant, Miss 0'Neill has to have sawdust for the micecages. Again,- the Lab Assistants come to the rescue. Yes, these are the many dangers that a Lab Assistant must face and the risks he must take each and every day of his life, along with watering the plants, grading papers, putting out fires, cleaning up the supply room, taking inventory, or helping a Biology I student to dissect a frog. r. Patton is no ordinary teacher. But then, DECA is no ordinary class. Their fund raising pro- jects sent seniors to various seminars in the state. Juniors receive one credit, whereas Seniors receive two credits, one for classes, one for work. Seniors are excused for the afternoon to work part- time and earn money. DECA-it's a good deal. .V. Boys make life much easier for teachers by supplying pro- jectors and recorders. Maintenance and up-keep of machinery is a daily chore for our A.V. Boys. Their effect is felt by everyone. 80!Pastime bf ,A Bob Durick protects Dean, his hamster, lrom falling ofi the edge.

ROM THE DESK OF MRS. FRANCES MARRNDO: To all my Drama Club mem- bers-past, present, and future: Rewards for the hours spent in dili- gent, demanding, and sometimes frustrating rehearsals which begin with the applause and end with your last hour on stage. Mastery of the body and mind, pride in oneself, awareness and respect for others, acquaintances that blossom into friendships- these are only a few of the rewards that you earned as an actor or a stage hand upon that stage. For me, as your director, the rewards came in seeing you, with eyes glowing, take a bow on that stage. Rewards that come when l see you coming back year after year to see and to help in other productions, in knowing that you have achieved a measure of success in this love of yours-the stage. Rewards come in knowing l had a small role to play in opening the curtains which will remain with you until your last hour on stage. Pastime!79
