Ehllihlgi Music makes the world go around, and around Struthers the vocal department makes the music. The Chorale, SHS Singers, and the Gospel Flares were kept busy all year round by presenting numerous con- certs. The year was highlighted by two main concerts in the fieldhouse, We Wish You the Merriest was the choir's musical contribution to the Christ- man season, with Celebrate Spring the forerunner of warmer weather. ln the spring, the Chorale headed for Niagara Falls, Canada to concertize the season with an international flair. Canadians and Americans alike who are moved by music enjoyed the Struthers students who make the music move.

Some made it. ln the Summer, the girls chosen in the Spring practiced from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M. everyday. The Junior Varsity and Varsity cheerleaders went to camp-the Junior Varsity was initiated with the traditional shaving cream and powder, but mainly, the girls learned cheers, then taught them to the Freshmen. ln the Fall and Winter, the squads cheered at assemblies and games, using all the experi- ence they'd gained during Summer vacation. ln the Spring, there were tryouts . . .
