Evans. Row 2-lan Zol- dak, Karen Rock, Mimi Tablack, Sherry Lancy, Ruth Tobias. ' T zirmu. 'Ila- Ruth Tobias concentrates on flawless execution of her vault. For me, concentration is the key to a fine performance. I must be psychologically prepared for the pressures and the unpredictability of a grueling meet. Each separate asset of a whole being works in cooperation with the others to bring self-satisfaction. Yet, despite the exertion, I can still recall some humor amid the serious deter- mination. There was the time Sherry Lancy got caught between the mats during her floor exercise routine. lan Zoldak had her beam routine a little shaken up , too, on an untightened beam: it was more than nerves making her movements unsteady! Last of all, l'll never forget the day our new cable bars were finally installed and the visiting team hurried over to practice on them. We didn't even get to use them first! Our record for the season was six wins and five losses, the most successful in four gymnastic seasons here. We're only losing two seniors, Sandy Bokros and Chris Koczwara. Sandy is our most versatile competitor. Usually the recipient of the all-around award at the meets, she placed twelfth in Sectionals. Although we'll miss Sandy, the rest of the team has a great deal of talent and perseverence. Next season we will again be formidable opponents. A r ua-amz. anus Team Time! 107
