ecard S.H.S.-O Akron Hoban-56 Akron Hobanls Knights, ranked sixth in the state, romped over the injured riddled, 56-0 to hand the Cats their second defeat of the season. The Wildcats were no match for the classy Knights as they held Struthers to a 127 yards and only five first downs. Hobanls defense just wouldn,t yield as they allowed Struthers to get past the midfield stripe only twice reach- ing Hoban's 13 midway through the fourth quarter. S.H.S.-14 Hubbard-28 The Hubbard High Eagles knocked Struthers from the Steel Valley Conference Championship by landing the Cats a decisive 28-14 setback. The Wildcats' first score was a 15-yard keeper by Vince Suber, climaxing a key 33-yard pass-play from Suber to Dennis Bogdon. Sophomore Dave Barone, one of the most outstanding young players on the squad, returned a punt 43 yards for a fourth quatrer T.D. S.H.S.-8 Boardman-O key figure, a five-yard Elusive quarterback Vince Suber, Struthers' bounced through the Spartan defenders for touchdown run to clinch the victory over arch-rival Board- man. The Struthers' eleven had control over the ing most of the game and didn't penetrate skirted in for the T.D.
