Here in our school is a club dedicated to the furthering of the knowledge of Roman civili- wqy- by Mrs. Roy Scholl. This Latin sentence might well be said to per- tain to the Latin Club also! The Latin Club'has succeeded in con- quering the fears and doubts of students about the simplicity of the Latin language and about Roman civilization, which has had such a great effect upon the world today. To become a member of this or- ganization, a student must have taken one year of Latin. This spring the club held its annual banquet at which food. served by slaves, was eaten by members lying on couches about a table, in Roman dress. according to an- cient Roman custom. Ross.
