School life is like a ladder which every student must clirnh. Each class is a rung on this ladder. Wlieri, as eighth graders, you started here at Struth- ers, you found yourselves at the lrase of this ladder pre- paring to make that long clinih. But each step had to he taken carefully and with perseverance. Each step hrought you nearer the top, hut the higher you went the harder you had to work. Along the way you learned much. ln addition, each succeeding class lelt you some experience or knowledge it had gained. During your climlm you, too7 have gained a great deal which will he your ladder to a lretter life when you are graduated. The education you receive here is the support upon which your whole later life rests. You will always rememlmer that climlr as the lmesl years of your life.

Struthers High is no exception. ln order for your school to function properly 1t, too. needs a guiding hand. an organization to keep its vital affairs in good order. This important need is met hy the Struthers Board of Education. It may not seem immediately apparent to you, the student. just how important the school hoard is. However, without it school as you know it would not he possihle. When needs hcyond the power of your administration or faculty arise they hecome the responsihility of the hoard. It then decides on a course of action and takes the neces- sary steps to accomplish it. This group. composed of civic minded Struthers citizens elected hy the voters. is truly responsihle for the well heing of your school. 'lihey are the steady guiding hand which leads you on the path to a hetter education.
