Mary Centofanti Mary, Student Prints editor, has been on the staff for four years. Last year she was associate editor and for two previous years was a feature editor and reporter. Betty Shackleford Betty, the associate editor, has been with the Prints for three years. STUDENT PRINTS STAFF The Student Prints Staff, under the super- vision of Mr. William Comstock, cooperates with the iournalism classes to publish our bi- weekly. The iournalism students gather the news and write up the stories for the paper. Working on this publication prepares the stu- dents for future careers. They learn the basic fundamentals of putting a paper together such as getting news, copyreading, writing headlines, proofreading the printed material, setting up a dummy, and sending it to be printed for the final edition.

Thepurpose ofthe council is to develope interest of the students, pro- mote a closer relationship between faculty and students, and provide an organized program of activities. Each home room has a representative and an alternate to report what business has been transacted at the meetings. Any student may make a suggestion to his representative and it will be presented to the council for consideration. 82
