During the years we have spent in Struthers High, we have always had depend- able, qualified people serving on our administrative staff. The mem bers of the board of education, who are elected by the school district voters, serve a term of four years. They are responsible for the entire school program which includes hiring of teachers, school expenditures, and school repairs and improvements. Our superintendent, Mr. O. J. Gabriel, who has been with the Struthers School system for 27 years, has proved himself an efficient and untiring administrator. Under his splendid leadership, the schools have made remarkable progress. Mr. Francis Gant, who is now serving his second year here as principal, has proved himself during his short stay to be a grand counselor and friend. Mr. Wayne R. Grinnen, has been assistant principal for four years. For l7 years previously he was a mathematics teacher here. He assists Mr. Gant in the supervision of the high school. The dean of girls, Miss Alice Faust, counsels the girls in their various activities, and teaches physical education. Miss Mary lna Cooper, secretary to Mr. Gabriel, and Miss Ruth Drake, sec- retary to Mr. Gant and a 1953 graduate, are always busy with a great amount of work that goes through their offices. Anyone who is ill during school' hours can always go to the nurse, Mrs. Mariorie Myers,for aid. She is here every morning except Monday. These people, who are all successful in their profession, are fine examples for 'The Most Likely to Succeed Seniors , pictured on the opposite page. 6
