The first annual homecoming of Struthers turned out to be a big success. Five thousand fans witnessed the Wildcats beat the Wilson Presidents 33-13 and the crowning of the homecoming quee Barbara Douglas, a senior who was chosen by the student body. Her four attendants were Patty Kaminsky, Phyllis McPhee, Bernie Heckert, and Kathy Meehan. The matron attendant, Mrs. Nadyne Herrick, crowned Barbara with a beautiful crown of yellow mums.
