fyfxqya Class H :story Yes we are finally graduating but we ll never forget the fun we had along with the work whlle in school There were dances parties and many other actw ities which we participated ln While we were Freshmen we had the help and advlce of Mrs Dahman Mlss O Neil and Mr Snyder They had a great deal of patience wtth us for we knew very little about high school llfe We had as our president Bill Hoffman Bob Dlckun was vice president Barbara Green was our secretarv and Leonard Panella was our treasurer The boys had their first experience wlth shop and the gurls had cooking Once In awhile you could see a boy walking around with a bandaged finger The saw went a little too far The glrls wanted to make a good impression for the boys and so after every cooking class the gmrls would run up to the boys to give them a cookie The boys lrked them but they sure teased the gmrls about how they tasted Remember the t1mes when you couldn t get those algebra problems 9 Af ter awhlle you d give up and say I don t care what x equals Our actmvmtxes weren t very numerous but we dld have a dance and of course there was the Y Teen prom The boys were still a little bashful and thought danclng was only for slssxes The pxcmc whrch we held at the end of our freshman year was held at Crmcket Fleld There was a mce turnout and everyone had a good time Mlss O Nell had the responslblllty of belng our sponsor m our sophomore year We now had grown a year older learned to know more about our classmates and made many new frlends Our able offrcers Don Phelps as president Bob D1ckun as vnce presldent and Tommy Rupple as secretarv and treasurer dmd a very fine job Our dance Aprxl Showers was the biggest and best of the year The boys were taklng a bigger Interest In the girls and of course were learnmg how to dance The Y Teen prom th1s year was better attended Can you stxll remember who you went with? Yes Miss O Neil was our sponsor but she made us do an aw ful lot of work in her biology classes Who cares what a worm crawfish or frog looks lxke on the 1ns1de9 Remember girls when the boys threw the pmchers of the crawfish on you? Our subjects kept getting harder and harder maybe it was because we were getting older Our picnic thls year turned out to be better than last because we had ram What s a plcmc wlthout ram? We held It agam at Cricket F'1eld and of course we had to play baseball Remember how the gurls showed the boys up ln hlttlng homeruns? After the plcnlc we went to ldora Park Poor Miss O Nexl she dldn t want to go on the Wildcat but she dld Two vears of our hmgh school llfe IS gone already Every year our class gets more ambltlous Mrs Dahman found that there was a lot of co operatlon from us We worked more as a group lnstead of separate groups We now were old enough to go to the junlor Senior Prom Box weren t we big. It was held at the V F W Ballroom In Youngstown The boxs sure jurnped the chance of asklng their favorite glrl to a formal dance, but the gurls jumped rlght back and asked the boys to go to the Y Teen dance, whlch was held at Idora Park Ballroom Our annual dance was again the blggest and best The name, Snow Flake Folly , was an excellent one and drew a huge crowd Bob Dlckun was elect ed as our president. Tommy Ripple was vmce presldent and Barbara Green was secretary and treasurer. We now were ln charge of selllng txckets for the junxor Senlor play. Remember how far you had to walk trvnng to sell them We also planned the junior Senior prom. Rlbbons for football games were also sold bx our ambitious class. Those famlllar smells comlng up from the chemxstrv room were only from our experiments.
