Assistant Principals Assistant Principal Joyce Savocchio is an individual ded- icated to community service. She served as a school teacher here before becoming assistant principal, and she also is a city-councilwoman for Erie. A true Colonel, Miss Savocchio graduated in 1961 from Strong Vincent. Her Bachelor’s degree was obtained from Mercyhurst Col- lege, and her Master’s Degree was earned at the Univer- sity of Pittsburgh. Miss Savocchio, despite Jier hectic schedule, still remains accessible to students. Assistant Principal Joseph Gdaniec sets a fine example for students with his impressive aca- demic credentials. Mr. Gdaniec will not crack a smile for our photographer. He graduated from Gannon University with a B.A. in mathematics. And, then continued his education at the University of Pittsburgh where he received a Masters Degree in Secondary Education. For graduate work he attended the State University of New York at Fredonia and Edinboro. Students and Faculty agree that he is a fine, helpful individual. 11
