’88 Yearbook Dedication Mr. Costello takes time out from his busy schedule to let us take his picture. Mr. Costello lends an ear to a concerned parent. Mr. Costello is caught sneaking through the halls. During Mr. Costello’s time at Strong Vincent (1966-1984), he was in- volved in coaching the football team along with his social studies teach- ings. Since 1986 his guidance and counseling has helped seniors and underclass students on their quest to the real world. Because of his love for history, he belongs to the National Council for Social Studies. Along with his membership to that organi- zation, he participates in Education- al Associations. Mr. Costello’s pastime is taken up by his dogs and his love for the outdoors including fishing and hunting. Our dedication recipient got his start at Cathedral Preparatory School. Mr. Costello then moved up to Gannon University to receive his Bache- lor’s in 1952. Then on he went to further his studies at Allegheny College, receiving his Master’s. Immediately after he began teaching at Jefferson Elementary. Mr. Costello transferred to Wilson Junior High School to teach his favorite subject, history. Mr. Costello made it to Strong Vincent High School in 1966, continuing to teach social studies. But Mr. Costello left us to go to Gridley Junior High School for two years before coming back to us in 1986. 7

. - » - of Intelligence — Mrs. Mastrian and Miss Williams: Faithful chemistry teachers. Mr. Minzenberger and ... Joe Paterno? Mr. Behan is caught in the act. The 1987-88 Strong Vincent faculty is cer- tainly made up of a rainbow of characters. There’s the never smiling Mr. Vickey to the forever smiling Mr. Case. No matter if they- ’re stern or a jokester, they care about what they’re doing. That’s one thing we never think about, that these teachers don’t teach us because they have to, they want to. They care whether or not we learn and go on to make something of ourselves, that’s why they push us just a little harder. One particular teacher that gave that extra little push to make the students care was Mr. Minzenber- ger. We wish him luck in his new job and we will all miss him alot. We thank the faculty for the superb job that they’ve done this year and we thank you for caring enough to teach us. Give yourself a pat on the back for putting up with us! ■ I ■ I ■ I ■ ■ ■ I ■ ■ I ■ I Mr. Cole is thumbs up about his students.
