Assistant In recent years, Joyce Savocchio has seen a change in our school's attitude. Strong Vin- cent student body has definitely showed a re- newed dedication to learning, leadership, and most of all to school pride. She comments: This school year is undoubtedly one of the finest in recent years.'' All of these important qualities mixed with our excellent faculty proves this to be true. Principals Vice Principal Qdaniec thinks that this year's stu- dent body is much more mature than those of re- cent years, and he is looking forward to having a bet- ter year. He stated, This year looks to be very suc- cessful because of the seriousness of our students, particularly the upperclassmen.'' Mr. Qdaniec also feels that there has been a spontaneous response to our school's activities as well as classwork, and the students seem to be adapting to their routines more quickly. Mr. Joseph Qdaniec has spent many years learning and developing his profession. Mr. Qdaniec first graduated from Gannon University with a B. A. in mathematics and from there went on to attend the University of Pittsburgh where he received a Mast- er's degree in Education in the secondary level. He also attended Edinboro and the State University of Hew York at Fredonia for Graduate work. All of these impressive credentials along with his friendly per- sonality are what make him such a professional. Miss Savocchio thinks Pete Sala is just, so cute. Although Miss Savocchio still misses teaching, she is very happy to be vice-principal of Strong Vincent. She enjoys herjob and likes the office atmosphere as well as helping students in many different ways. Miss Savocchio is a 1961 graduate of Strong Vincent. Her long line of credentials include a Bachelor's de- gree in History and Secondary Education from Mercy- hurst College, as well as a Master's degree from the University of Pittsburgh and a certificate in Secondary School Administration from Edinoboro University. 11
