Head Coach, Jack Costello. SV's offense . . . Down S Ready!! Strong Vincents' l980 Varsity began the season in red hot fashion by defeating its first three opponents. This SV's offense fires off the ball. was the first time since the I950's that a Vincent team had started out so strongly. Then. despite playing a very good game, the team was defeated by Academy in a game that could have gone either way until the final seconds. Psychologically. this hurt the Colonels who played poorly on defense against East and lost. In the Tech game. neither the offense nor the defense played well and Vincent was shut out in its Homecoming Game. Against Prep, once again the Colonels played poorly and lost. In the final game of the season against McDowell, Vincent redeemed itself and saved a 50!50 season from being a losing season by defeating arch-rival McDowell. Coach Costello and his staff feel that this season had both bright spots and dismal ones. Good luck to the graduating seniors. and best of luck to the returning players for a successful season in I98I. .swf S I-f ?'353 UFIIL5 'EL , W7 if 1ISgds, '91 7255216- ERE asm?
