Sam Baumgartner, president of our elite Concert Choir, persuacles the otficers to pose. Wally Knox is treasurer Judy Elser, vice-president, and Patty Pingen, secretary, Our Concert Choir The high standards it has set for itself and the polished per- formances with which it delights Vincent students marks our Concert Choir as a choral group with few peers in the na- tion, as attested to by each successive audience that has the opportunity to react to its music. This singular achievement comes mainly from the challenge for perfection instilled by Miss Alice Simpson, the director, who holds the limit of achievement as the highest worthy ideal. Our choir was honored to kick-off the Erie United Fund Cam- paign, appearing on WICU-TV, WSEE-TV and each of the radio stations. It entertained teachers and guests at the Re- tired Teacher dinner early in November. Then came the com- mand performance before the Rotary, followed shortly there- after by the traditional Christmas Concert. A spring concert tour closed the strenuous season, with well-received appear- ances at Indiana S. T. C., and Johnston and Mt. Lebanon high schools. Added to the honor and praise which the Choir so richly deserves is our appreciation for its accomplishment as well in spreading the good name of Vincent. lil? fs? til, 'i iizl l A t

Glee Club Notwithstanding popular confusion between quality and size, the Glee Club has earned ap- proval ot all audiences before which it appeared. Under Miss Simpsons tutelage the boys improved in voice control, tone quality, and other marks of a good musician. Not to be surpassed in pro- Uciency, the Cecelian Choir, through equally Tzard work and constant practice, attained recog- niiion through its hne performances. Both groups, serving as teeders, ofter a shining goal for their members-acceptance in the tamed Concert Choir. GLEE CLUB-ROW ONE: F. Gordon, B. Crowlog, R.
