The School An occasional face-lifting provides variety and added interest. New additions to plant and improve- ment of facilities are appreciated changes in the way of progress. But, basically, the character of Vincent over the years reflects the imprint of those who have passed through it-students, teachers, parents. Students haven't changed much. They still lose their books. They insist lockers are too small, ex- cept when they clean them out. They forget admits They hurry only when they're late. Boys attend dances, just to stand around the band. Spring fever, and holding hands, curiously remain a daily ail- ment for some. But all promenade in the 8:15 Merry- go-round. Teachers haven't changed much. They still in- sist on a day's Work for a day's pay. They require that assignments be completed when due. They rarely give high marks. And some even lower the boom when we're late tor class. Parents haven't changed much. They still ask us, Where is the money going to come from? They expect us to get- home right after school. And they think We ought to make all A's. Well, there we are-Vincent-in a facetious way, but are we? Vincent is thousands of students, hundreds of teachers, countless parents, who in giving their best abilities for 25 years, have acquired for it a good reputation of scholastic achievement, service, re- sponsibility and high standards of conduct.
