Strong Vincent High School is the only senior high in Erie Whose name has historic significance. Colonel Strong Vincent, a native of Erie, was a real hero, a man of bravery and great courage, who, fighting against great odds in the Civil War, showed his real Worth. The Vincent family coat of arms with its slogan is the seal of our school, because the family permitted its use: Virtue non viribus vincent, by valor or courage, not by physical strength they shall conquer-let us ALFRED 1, LUBQWICKI live up to this thought always. The conference may be sought by the stu: dent when he feels in need of advice or guidance. On the other hand, the counselor may seek an in- terview with the student in order to study his per- sonality, to discover what his problems may be, and to help him formulate and understand his own abilities and objectives.
