JQ This Book Belongs to The Staff of the 1946 Spokesman started the usual way in September with many new ideas and the usual thought in mind of improving on previous books. Moving along according to schedule, we were rudely interrupted by the sad accident that was to deprive us of the faithful guidance of our adviser, Miss Cora Anne Pearce. With the advance of the school calendar, we had to meet new deadlines and face shortage problems with film and flash bulbs. However, we have survived and present this '46 volume for its approval. Special attention and many thanks are here given to Mrs. Mazur, Miss Connell, and Mr. Humphrey, for their sincere cooperation during this emergency and also to Roberta Portz, and james Carstater for the extra work they did in art. We hope that we have been able to give each student who owns 'a Spokesman, something to take with him that will be a reminder ofihis days here at Strong Vincent. Charlotte Ann Ford Editor
