t Ron 1 iam ll an L 'NIL o -X Bc Seaor HK ll Punk D R Hanlex -X l'1nc am BOARD OF EDUCATION It IS the Job of the Board of Education to formulate policies contiol finances and to supervise the work of uervone in the school Responsible for these duties are nine prominent and capable men including Courtnex Arthur John A Berrv George Funk Arthur L Fincham Leslie H Goslln D R Hanley R L McConnell William l Rohan and Cephas Williams. With the exception of Mr. McConnell, Superintendent of Streator High School, who serves as secretary, and John A. Berry, attorney for the Board, all members are elected to serve three-year terms. The occu- pations of the members of the Board are diversified, and all are well known in Strea- tor. Mr. Goslin. President of the Board is a l 303 pharmacist He was elected in 1944 and is completing his fourth term Mr Arthur an attoiney 18 presently in his first term hav ing been elected in 1954 Dr Hanlex local phx SICIHH and iadiologist ls giving service in his first teim Haxing been elected in 1938 Mr Rohan local faimer is the oldest member in terms of xears of service He is novs concluding his sixth term. Mr. Fin- cham who was elected in 1952 is superin- tendent of the Streator Brick Company, and is performing a second term. Cephas Williams, owner of a construction work and building materials business, was elected in 1951 and is completing a second session. Local grain merchant George Funk was elected to the Board in 1954 and is serving his first term.
