By special events we mean the little extras that come into our life and brighten up the days we spend at S. H. S. Events such as sports victories in tournaments, speech contest prizes, or triumphs in a music con- test which help build the good reputation of Streator High are special. The people winning these victories are to be congratulated for their fine work. vm

The engineers, announcers, reporters. copywriters, and the sales staff all worked together to produce their show and to be one of the most active clubs at S. H. S. The club rebroadcasts many of the out- of-town Bulldog basketball games, often traveling a great distance in order to bring them to the people of Streator. WIZZ Jr. also sponsored the twirp season dance in conjunction with the Student Council. An assembly was presented before the student body commemorating their third anniversary. The club also sponsored a pep rally skit. which was taken from the popular Herb Shriner TV show, prior to one of the Bulldogs' home basketball games. A trip to television and radio stations in Chicago was planned last spring by the entire club. This gives the members an opportunity to learn more about the work of professional people in the field of radio and television. NVho knows but what in ten years or so when we turn on the radio or TV set, we may see one of our old classmates who was an en- thusiastic member of WIZZ Jr. X-N., J. Boyd J.
