New D VY BULLDOG THE WINNER: SENIOR CLASS FLOAT At 2:30 p.m. on Friday. the 31st, school was dismissed for the Homecoming parade After a few weeks of preparation. the vari- ous club and class floats passed the judges reviewing stand along the line of march. Chosen as the best class float was that of the Senior Class with the Davy Crockett theme. The Latin Club was honored for the best club float. The choice of prize floats was difficult because of the hard work and originality displayed in all floats. Following the parade at 8:00 p.m., the Homecoming football game was played against St. Bede. Loyalty and full support of the student body afforded Streator's Bull- dogs a 20-6 victory. During ceremonies at the game, Cherie Williams, Junior candidate, was crowned queen of the 1955 Homecom- ing. On Saturday, October 1, the Homecom- ing concluded with the annual dance at the Streator Armory. All Homecoming ar- rangements were under the supervision of the Student Council. Their efforts were justly rewarded because of the success of the 1955 Homecoming. FUTURE FARMERS FLOAT l3ll WN., i SIVQEDE BBPND: l
