'7 Faculty Advisory Councll S NAKHIRIILB ELLMHLEV' MR WHIITIER MISS HAI L NIR IIST NIR DAT I- ,f N1 RS NNN XNNON x.f'x Shortly before the end of the first semester at a facultx meeting called by Mr Whittier the latter announced a plan calling for a school governing body composed of student and faculty members Th1s group was chosen to promote and dlrect extra currlcular actlvltles 1n the school The faculty selected as thelr representatwes on the Faculty Advisory Council MISS Hall Mrs Swanson Mr List Mr Schramm and the two deans Mlss Nachtrleb and Mr Dale to serve under Mr Whlttler At the first SESSION of thls council It was decided to allow each class two members a boy and a girl on the Student Activlty COLlIlC1l The method for selecting these members xt was agreed should not be by nomlnation but by an election 1n whlch any member of a class could be voted for In the final election there were e1ght candidates in each class and from these the Seniors elected Joanna Llst and Wllllam Kerwln the Juniors Jean Gay and James Brown the Sophomores Helen Kollar and James Sendecke the Freshman Betty Barlckman and George Kollar and the Post graduates Helen McGuire and W1ll1am Grant Th1s Student Act1v1ty Board met wlth Mr Wh1tt1er on Thursdays 1n the ACt1V1ty Room In the first few meetlngs the members discussed the various p0SS1bll1t18S for aCt1Vlt1CS Nearly one hundred suggestlons were offered The group declded to present the list of the activities and an explanation of the actlvlty program to the student body Joanna Llst was selected to organize the material Although the full program was not reallzed thls year a good start has been made W1th numerous fine suggestlons to follow much IS expected of the combined councll in the future Hl'Il'Nl h0ll XR lilll lxl'RWIN --3--4' Cl-ORFF IxOLI II' KV GXX IXXH' I-YDFClxE I-XVIFS RROWIN Aj ,wg A., l Mlflf A' ' ' M . ff A A w D seg A A'A A .,-A A ' l 1.
