Our aim has been to show in what way the airplane is typical of our school. As we see it, the parts of the airplane may be likened to the various units of the school: Mr. Waldrip, Pilotg The Board of Educa- tion, Gasolineg The Faculty, Engineg The Senior Class, Wingsg Underclass- men, Fusilageg Athletics, Wheelsg Organizations, Propellerg and Humor, Rudder. As the airplane runs along on the ground for a time, then rises grad- ually into the air, finally soaring confidently onward 3 so the various classes of our school are flown under the skillful guidance of our licensed pilot, W.
