Majorie Butler Membership in the National Honor Society is an honor for achieving a high scholastic standard and maintaining this standard. A member must also have an outstanding character, be a leader and be of service to the community. The mem- bers of the Honor Society had as a project giving parties for the patients at the State Hospital in New Castle. In March they sponsored a dance for the student body. Money earned selling candy was sent to Riley Hospital, and at Easter time a party was given for a ward at the Richmond State Hospital. Greeting cards are sent to people of the com- munity throughout the year. Each year an ldeal Lady from the community is chosen by the society. The Ideal Lady of 1965 was Mrs. Cliff Swim and Mrs. Merle Cromwell was chosen for 1966. The big event of the year for the girls is a dance given for the members and dates. .U

Ti Cynthia Surber, Linda New, Cookie Sarver Tish is a middle-aged spinster. She informs her two boon companions, Lizzie and Aggie, that she is deter- mined to get closer to nature. So she buys a second-hand car and they start out, but not before Lizzie has wired Tish's young nephew, Charlie Sands. All end up at The h Cynthia Surber, Cookie Sarver, Grey Rayburn, Linda New, Tom Bennett. Eagle's Hotel somewhere near the Mexican border. Whether she is trying to help Aggie recover her lost teeth or striving desperately to straighten out the tangled ro- mances of two attractive young couples, Tish gets everybody into and out of one difficulty after another.
