Money earned selling candy was sent to Riley Hospital, and at Easter time a party was given for a ward at the Richmond State Hospital. Greeting cards are sent to people of the com- munity throughout the year. Each year an ldeal Lady from the community is chosen by the society. The Ideal Lady of 1965 was Mrs. Cliff Swim and Mrs. Merle Cromwell was chosen for 1966. The big event of the year for the girls is a dance given for the members and dates. .U

The annual magazine sales sponsored by the Student Council helps pay for many needed school materials and supports the Honor Night for parents and the crowning of the Basketball Queen. Majorie Butler Membership in the National Honor Society is an honor for achieving a high scholastic standard and maintaining this standard. A member must also have an outstanding character, be a leader and be of service to the community. The mem- bers of the Honor Society had as a project giving parties for the patients at the State Hospital in New Castle. In March they sponsored a dance for the student body.
