Stratford, sing thy praises of glory Filled with honor and loyalty O'er hill and dale. Stratford, ring forever the rally Of the thundering vict'ries Of thy dear name. Time ne'er will plunder The memories we hold; Oh! Alma Mater Oh! crimson and gold! Hail! Stratford, Alma Mater of Mothers Wave thy banner forever O, Stratford High. But hush! The curtain rises ... on a play that will not conclude with the closing curtain; for this drama goes on, translated from fantasy to reality, in the life of each who passes through the portals as a student for the final time, diploma in hand, ready to serve his role with distinction in the Drama of Life in the years ahead. Preliminary to the curtain's rising, we find ourselves comfortably seated, perusing the program of a drama which features a distinguished cast—the seniors of Stratford High, Class of 1950. As we await this very special performance, we dreamily gaze upon the curtain. There, in reverie, appears before us the setting of Stratford High. What memories it brings! Clubs, initiations, parties . . . happy moments all. Assemblies, the May Queen crowning, the variety show, the senior play . . . spectacles we shall long remember. Softly and plaintively the familiar strains of the Alma Mater emanates in the orchestral overture:
