SENIOR CLASS OFFICERS ANN CARROLL Secretary LORRAINE KELLEY Treasurer RICHARD CULLEN Vice-President MISS GOYETTE Advisor ANDREW DEMOTSES President The curtain rose on our senior year with great anticipation on the part of the new seniors of 1950 who, since our humble entrance as freshmen, had served as supporting players. The spotlight found us proudly donning our senior caps of red and gold, a distinctive note in every senior costume. Thus, having been fittingly regaled for the distinguished role of seniors, we eagerly looked forward to the first social event of our last year at S. H. S.—the Hallowe’en dance. From this pleasant affair we moved on through the calendar, to the accom- paniment of diligent study, until the ninth of December, when our talented class members proved themselves able thespians in their presentation of Dear Ruth. Finally the four capital events of senior year arrived to claim center stage. We gathered for our farewell dance, the Junior-Senior Prom, in May. The action gathered momentum, and June found us rapidly whirling into the major episodes of senior year: Baccalaureate, Senior Banquet, and the glorious climax, Graduation! Thus the curtain closed upon our happy life at Stratford High, leaving us pleasant memories and high ideals to follow steadfastly in our life ahead. 10
