In Memoriam Garland L. Harrison In the passing of Garland L. Harrison the Strafford Public schools has lost a conscientious member of the Board of Education and the community has lost a fine public-spirited citizen. Garland has served the public school interests of this community for a long period of time. Thirteen years of service preceeded the Garland Harrison rear anization of the district and his services were V g L Deceased December 3, 19524 again requested in 1953 to end with his passing. During this long service interval many problems have confronted the board of education in directing a program of educational opportunity for the students of our school area. In order that the foundation of a good and lasting school program would be the handiwork of the board of education and the heritage of our children, careful planning and excellent judgement is required. To this end the conscientious nature and the best planning of Garland's ability was given cheerfully to every situation and to every problem confronting the board of education. n T . 1 5 aff., ,.
