Seniors Have an Active Year Forty-six Seniors graduated on Sunday night, May 22, 1988. The gym was packed with parents, friends, and well-wishers. The class motto was “Past failures are all for- gotten; Future victories are yet to be achieved.” The girls wore red gowns and carried white roses; the boys wore silver gray gowns and had red rose boutonnieres. Seniors Greg Bradley, Valedictorian, and Dee Ferguson, Salutatorian, addressed the audience. Teary spectators lis- tened to the seniors sing two songs, “Dream a Dream” and “It’s Hard to Say Goodbye.” Proud seniors stepped forward as Superintendent Jack Leatherman called their names to receive their diplomas from Board President Dan Goetze. As the lights were turned off, seniors lite candles and retired to the front of the bleachers where many anxious pho- tographers waited to take pictures of the moving ceremony. The following week, seniors picked up dept, awards: Bradley — Adv. Sci. Computer Tec.; Fergu- son — Activities, Voc. Music Ac- counting; Viglietta — Instr. Music, Art, Adv. Math; Everts — Instr.
