We enjoyed an afternoon at Six Flags Over Texas, near Dallas, and an afternoon at Hemisfair '68, in San Antonio. The next afternoon was spent swimming in the Gulf at Galveston. This was an experience we will never forget. We saw such points of interest as the Astrodome, Sea-Arama, and Silver Dollar City. We returned to Stover after a wonderful five-day trip, tired, but full of memories and we thank everyone who made it possi- ble. 10 SENIORS MORGAN COUNTY SCHOOL DIST. We decided to see what the Seniors of 1968 were doing. We arrived bright and early one summer morning in 1988. We were welcomed in the city by the mayor, JANET FORD, and she tells us that her former classmate, RUTH RUMANS, is council-woman, and she will show us the sights of the city. We tour the city, courtesy of CAREN WORTHLEY bus lines. First on the agenda is a visit to Stover University. There we are greeted by the Dean of Women, VIOLET KERK- SIEK. Dean Kerksick informs us that she has on her staff Professor PAMELA WALTERS, teaching Homemaking to the boys of Stover University. The college works in connection with Professor BARBARA FISCHER, who is working on the cure for the common cold. Next, we go to the Ford factory, where die new owner, MERL WILSON, is now reproducing the 57 Ford for sale, with a new smog control, who is being sued by BEVERLY KIEFFER, for an oil-burning engine. Merl's lawyer, JOHN TAYLOR, who has lost all of his cases dius far, diinks die Director of die Safety’ Bureau, Beverly Kicffcr, has a good case going against Merl. Rudi Rumans directs us to die baseball stadium, where we meet LARRY PROEHL, the architect that designed it, and he informs us diat he plans to revive die slum section of Stover, which is Versailles. While at die stadium, we watched the Stover Meteorites warm up, and look who's pitching, ROGER METSCHER. We go to die concession stand, and who do we see but die great movie idol PAM BARBOUR, and she informs us diat PEGGY SHEWMAKER is die cover girl for diis month's issue of Playboy Magazine. As we leave the stadium we notice a large billboard advertising the fight of die year. Gorgeous Girl Gerr, GERALDINE HOLSTEN, vs. Giant Moudi Julie, JULIE ROBINSON, fighting for die championship of lady wres- tlers. The referee for this fight we read, will be VICKI RAINS. From die stadium we went to die Major Hospital, and we met BEVERLY WITTE, the first brain surgeon to ever learn her trade through correspondence. Miss Witte is preparing to operate on DUANE BAUGHMAN, the world's championship racer. Mr. Baughman was injured while test driving his car on the Stover FF Dragstrip. We wish him luck because he's sure going to need it. From die re we decided to go to the Ancient History Museum, of which NEIDTH BRUNJES is die director, tour guide, janitor, sightseer, bookkeeper, ticket taker, and in odier words she owns die place. KATHY CALTON is telling ancient fortunes in die backroom, she is now predicting there was a Civil War in the 1860's. About 4:00 p. m. we left the museum to go to MAE ALLEE'S Alley for bowling until six o'clock. Here we met RUTH ROLAND, the championship bowler, the only person ever to make a strike by sliding down the alley after die ball. In die far comer we see LINDA RICHARDSON, die 1988 Poet Laurette, reciting poetry to CHARLIE PRIBBENOW, the 1988 version of hippies, which is die cosmic Dusters . From die bowling alley we went to the Stover Auditorium, where MR. AND MRS. RONALD CONNER were receiving the Parents of the Year award, with twelve children; die fonner CARLA GARMON, last year's winner, was presenting the award to them. We were hitchhiking when we were picked up by JIM WILLIAMS, the owner of a Volkswagen. We all climbed in and he took us to LOUISE CONNER'S Undertaking Parlor, where we found DELORES EBELINC dressing the hair of die latest patron. From die re we went to the largest gambling casino, owned by VICKY BAKER. We saw DOUGLAS KROESCHEN gambling away his two Olympic medals he won in die Stover Olympics this year. We decided diat he was doing so bad, someone had to win, so we tried. We didn't do so bad, say about $50,000 each. We decided to leave while the leaving was good, but we were to find out die time wasn't so good for leaving. We hadn't gone very far when we were held up by die city gangsters, Barney and Carolyn, the former BARNEY JAVE and CAROLYN STUCKER, the Bonnie and Clyde of 1988. As we proceeded on our way penniless, we made our way to RONNIE AVEY'S Fruit of die Wine Company. For- tunately diey were giving away free samples and we went dirough the line. P. S. Do you remember the Senior sponsors way back in '68? JEANNE SHACKELFORD is now the greatest artist in the world. JAMES BELLIS is the chalkmaker for Stover High School, since he broke so much by not being able to catch. EVELYN ALPERS is still teaching at good ole Stover High, and in her spare time she is learning to operate the new machines used in her advanced business courses. 60 SENIOR CLASS OF 1968 CLASS MOTTO: There is no map which shows the road to success, you must make it yourself.
