JOH fJ3Q ►-ZWcn Director And Driver Seniors Sponsors i p Wc left Stover at 2:30 A.M. Saturday, May 4 by school bus and Forrest Parker. Three hours later we changed to a Robbins Tours bus in Rolla and headed South. Our very good and friendly driver was Howard R.den. In Jonesboro, Arkansas we met our Tour Director, Mrs. Erma New and immediately fell for her. For five busy days we traveled and had fun, slept little, and enjoyed the most wonderful time of our school day , had to end, and did? as we met Forrest at Rolla on Wednesday, then arrived in Stover at 10:00 P.M. So ended ex- pcricncc we had worked hard for, will never forget, and can never share again except in our memoirs and min . Saturday night wc were in Jackson, Mississippi at the King Edward Hotel; excited and tired, but not sleepy Sunday morningwe vifited and attended Church Services at Piney Woods School. We arrived wherc Biloxi, Miss, at noon, checked in and immediately left for a sea going trip to Ship Island, eleven miles off shore, we swam and enjoyed the surf in the Gulf of Mexico, .1 j..i Monday-New Orleans and all its excitement, the Gulf Coast, Canal Street, French Quarter, St Uu edral Jackson Square Sugar Bowl, Old Cemeteries and into the Motel DcVille. The night tour took us to Lake Poncharttain Am!TmSt £kanymore kin and fun and fun, then to Bourbon Street and Cafe DuMonde Coffe Shop, ending with a PaTVuesdaye homeward bound via Baton Rouge and the State Capitol, Oil Refineries Natcher anc1 Stanton Hall, battle grounds at Vicksburg and the Hotel Vicksburg, with shopping, movies, parties, sleep.
