NTnE NEED OF SCHOOL SPEHITH Eoys and girls at school are living upon ,ne labor of their parents. In many cases parents are poor, and working hard to keep us in school. Often :hey do withou: things Eiey would line to have in order to mee: our needs. They do -his gladly, as they look forward with hope and pride to ahe day when we will be able to an honest living. How can we ever repay such unselfish love? By doing he very best work we can every single day. Len us train ourselves for some pro- fession, trade or business while we,are in high school, so that when we have completed our high school course, we will enjoy a re ard for our success- ful work. We owe this duty to ourselves and to our parents. As students we should get the real nschool spiritn, and fry to make the very best out of school, instead of doing as little worn as possible to just get by with. Certainly there would he less failures and more cooperation among our friends, schoolmates, and teach ers. Cooperation is the will- ingness of a person to work together in :he alt of every day life. I. will help us to improve our physical education, and develop a happy healthy and sound oodyq Every student -. A6 real spirit of coming to school, and make use should get of his every opportunity, so tha: our future work, as well as our present, work will be successful. Eloise Raynor ,Assistant Editor nlt takes a lifetime to build up a good reputationg it may be lost in a momentqn -3- COOPEEATIOI Lots of times we become discouraged with our school work. We should then stop to think of our parents who are thinking of our future, hoping we will make a success of our lives. The students of Stovall School are cooperative workers. Our parents may be proud of the attitude of the boys and girls of this school. With few exceptions, there is a complexe- cooperative atmosphere about the school, and this could not exist if the students themselves did not feel the responsibilities of school citizenship to a marked degree. This, it must be concluded, reflects the attitude of the parents in the homes from which the boys and girls come. Such a situation is a tribute to the home life of the community, and makes much more pleasant the work of the teachers in our school.. '. All in all, the situation in the Stovall School will be a healthy one with the con- tinued cooperation of our parents and faculty. There is every reason to look forward to an increasingly successful school year. Certainly it is a fact that this cooperation is very necessary to the success- ful attainment of the aims of our school. Ruby Guthrie Editor IITRODUCIHG THE NEW TEACHERS Four new teachers have boon added to the faculty of Stovall School- We welcome them whole-ncartcdly to our community and to our school. Whether they icach you or not, wc fo-l thet you should know them.
