mage, mt}, n A representation of any person or thing, sculptured, painted, or otherwise made visible. We all have different images of people. What some perceive as dumb jocks others perceive as talented athletes , others perceive the class nerd as the school scholar and still others think that the band geeks are gifted musicians and the dipsy cheerleaders are strong supporters . The musical for 1988 was Once Upon a Mattress. Student Council sponsored a lip-sync variety show. The nuclear meltdown in Chernobyl (Russia) scared the world. On the good side was a successful year in sports for Boston fans. The Red Sox made it to the World Series, the Bruins made it to the playoffs, and the Celtics were division champs.
