CLASS OF 1987: OFFICERS TO THE CLASS OF 1987: It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of fooUshness. It was the season o Jight, it was the season of hope, it was the winter of despair. (A Tale of Two Cities) It was the best o times . . . Our ski trip to Mt. Sunapee, Junior Prom, and Spirit Week . . . It was the worst of times . . . Selling our painter caps; the red, white, and blue Spirit Halls, the loss of fellow classmates. It was the age of wisdom . . . Four years of academics enhanced by your dedicated faculty . . . It was the age o oolishness . . . Ordering 1000 painter caps, class meetings in A-411. It was the season of light . . . Senior year SAT scores, acceptance goals . . . It was the season of hope . . . higher SAT scores, Class of 1990 to sell our painter caps . . . It was the winter of despair . . . Ski trip cancelled, 700 painter caps left, graduation approaching. As your class advisor for four years, I will always relate the above quotation by Charles Dickens to you all. You have brightened the past four years at Stoughton High for me. With deep sincerity I bid you farewell and peace. KATHRYN E. CULLEN Faculty Advisor TO THE CLASS OF 1987: Our four years at SHS have been filled with many successes of which we are justifiably proud. (Of course, we have had a few mistakes along the way. We started out with red, white, and blue spirit halls — a colorful idea gone wrong, but we learned from our mistakes and came back to win the first two armual Spirit Weeks our junior and senior years. And — let ' s not forget our experiment with a wicked, awesome fundraiser: We ' ll be selling painter caps until our 20th reunion.) We have worked together as a class, excelling in academics, athletics, fine and performing arts, and socializing. I would like to thank all the students who have served the class as officers over the four years we have been at SHS. Especially, on behalf of the class, I thank our spirited, dedicated advisor, Mrs. Kitty Cullen, and our dear friend, Mrs. Julie Conroy.
