rainbow (ran-bo) n. An arc or circle that exhibits in concentric bands the colors of the spectrum and that is formed opposite the sun by the reflection of the sun ' s rays on raindrops. When we look upon a rainbow, we think of it as something clear and beautiful that we will never forget. As the Class of 1978 graduates, we look back upon our memories and think of them in much the same way. But just as a rainbow blurs and fades away, our memories will blur and fade away from our immediate thoughts. But, indeed, we won ' t forget them. The meanings of our experiences and the knowledge we gain from them influence our lives and stay with us forever. Although these experiences are diverse and seemingly unrelated, they, like the varied colors of the rainbow, blend together to create a complete feeling that stays in our minds forever.
