The saddest thought of word and pen is ' it might have been ' ... the seniors are wonderful ... in a hundred years taxes will escalate . . . teachers will vanish; only the log will remain. MRS. Italian and French food . . . seniors are great . . . people will be more in- volved each other and social problems, also less bigoted . . . more meaningful education for non-college student . . . pet peeve — lazy students . . . hap- piness is love. Run, do not walk, to your nearest friendly classroom ... in 100 years children will be replaced by something better . . . education will be replaced by subliminal learning and live theater . . . You can praise all of the sen- iors some of the lime, some of the seniors all of the time, but not all of the seniors all of the time. MR. SAPIR Acting, directing, and football . . . Many a truth is said in jest. . . . SHS — concerned . . . expects considerable changes in 100 years . . . pet peeve — apathy. ENGLISH DEP ARTME NT MISS DONOVAN Individualist . . . English . . . music . . . writing . . . travel- ing . . . All right, let ' s start studying! . . . Quiet! MRS. FANTASIA Enjoys reading, traveling . . . ENGLISH DEPARTMENT MRS. WILLIG Skiing, swimming . . . Clear everything off your desk and take out a pen . . . SHS is the nicest school I have ever taught in ... a nuclear war is going to alter things somewhat ... pet peeve — stalled cars in the break- down lane. MR. TAPPER Our benevolent advisor . . . Fa- vorites: drama, sports, reading, and young people . . . Pet peeves: people who miss dead- lines and rude students . . . MISS TANSEY Enjoys sketching and swimming . . . seniors are terrific ... a lot of changes will come about; bet- ter teaching materials, higher standards for both teachers and students ... pet peeve — a stu- dent who is absent from school and upon returning, asks, Did I miss anything? 17
