Assistant Principal Mr. Arthur L. Penardi Today the nations of the world are confronted with social and political problems of such magnitude that they have created widespread uncertainty and apprehension. As Americans you have had the advantage of receiving a well-rounded education as attested by your graduation from Stoughton High School. You are the future leaders of your communities and country. Methods and techniques are constantly changing, but the basic principles of leadership never change. The great leaders of our historic past have had varied personalities and educational back- grounds, but the one fundamental quality they possessed was solid moral character. Right actions are based on the moral principles that made us the greatest nation ever known to man. Your adherence to the principles which are the foundation of our Constitution will re- assure the rest of the world that free men can endure and govern themselves in these critical times. Congratulations and best wishes to the class of 1961! Arthur L. Penardi Assistant Principal Director of Guidance Mr. Albert C. Williamson Congratulations for past accomplishments and best wishes for future success! During your high school years, you have received- a helping hand and, on occasion, even a well-directed push from interested parents and teachers. Your diploma signifies that you have at- tained a certain academic level of proficiency that will be of permanent value to you. As you well know, it takes more than books to make a suc- cessful man or woman. My sincere hope is that you will retain the attitudes and appreciations that you have also acquired at Stoughton High School since these are the attributes that will finally determine whether you have become the kind of citizen that is so badly needed in our country today. As your plans for the future gradually unfold and take shape, feel free to call upon your former teachers, school admin- istrators and guidance personnel for any additional help that we may be able to provide. Sincerely, Albert C Williamson Director of Guidance 9
