Ia X C I I i mm SUPPER, 13B3 The greatest affair of the year is now in progress! We are seated here at the Inaugu- ral Ball in Was hington, D. C, for President Charles Fahey. Also present are his cabinet members (Betty Cowgill. Bob Blake, and Madelon Magee). Delivering the Benediction was Rev. Wil- liam Allen of the St. Paul ' s Cathedral. Ronald Darling, M. C, announces that our classmates Jeanne Zompi and Marlene Si- monds are now entering, sporting a beautiful tan. They just took the hop back from their annual visit to the Sunshine State . Here come those glamorous stars: red- haired Mary SIdendiel and dark-haired Lois Thomer. Were we all astonished! Just noticed Gerry Goulston and his lazzy livers (Tom Barrett, clarinet, Dave Forbes, guitar; Marilyn Smith, piano; Ed D e a d y , drums; and Allan MacLean, bag pipes). Starring quartet for the night are The Hot Totties — Sandra Brauneis, Barbara Coots, Richie Gibbs, and Clem Smithl Well, here come the distinguished Admiral of the Great Lakes, John Sullivan, and his wife, the former Ruth Selig. Cathy Broderick has just fainted because she lost her bottle of vitamin pills. Mary Mootas and Pat Blye are vigorously fanning her with dollar bills from the profit they made from, hot lunches! All heads turn as in walk those uninvited guests Dot Barrett and Betty Ann Johnston, who turned into the wrong side street of Pennsylvania Avenue while leading the In- augural Parade. The cow bells begin to ring as sophisti- cated Carolyn Pratt arrives with her two pet calves from the well-known Parish Dairy. Here comes handsome Dave Gallacher after working on the President ' s Model T Ford (which was designed by Charles Long). Keimy Foster has just told another of his colorful jokes and the remarkable laughs of Ginny Low and Ann LaPorte can be heard above the band. A dance contest is now being held, and all eyes are focused on Charles Sweet and Jean Harrison. Delores Andrade, Georgianna Johnson, and Virginia Brown from Caterers, Inc., are doing a splendid job of serving hamburgers. Jack Dykeman is having a repeat perform- ance throwing chili sauce at Fran Fennessy as she is about to do her specialty number, the Charleston . He wasn ' t satisfied at this, so he had to annoy his true friend Connie Corbett. Outstanding figures of the sports world just entered. We recognize them as Donald MacKinnon, Richie Klim, and Ed McGillvary. Following close behind them was Ronnie Leif with his secretaries, Betty Bennett, Shirl Bap- tist, Helen Janock, Virginia Murphy, and Barbara Fenton. All dressed up in their dungarees are Anne Robicheau, Audrey Holliday, and Pat Hyde — causing a great commotion, as usual. The famous columnist Bob Daly can be heard quoting his favorite saying: Early to bed and early to rise. And your girl goes out with other guys! 26

Shirley Hodges makes her appearance for just a few minutes as she has to catch the train leaving for Worcester. Paul Johnson and Barton White have just returned from an exciting expedition. Follow- ing Barton are a few hundred of his pets. Nancy Valentine is giving a demonstration of making pizza and is assisted by chefs Manny Rodericks and Fran DeSantis, who are mixing up a few of their own concoctions. Pat Hughes, Barbara Dooley, and Bette Jordan in their nurses ' uniforms are eagerly attentive. In a corner writing a letter to her devoted fiance, is Shirley Tansey. The Yenush twins are pedaling their bi- cycles around the stadium, trying to outdo each other. Roland .Ares is ' still working on his hope chest for Betty Beaucaire. As we gaze around, we see lonely Gary DeCosta, who is feeling blue because his girl is home studying. Everything is quiet for the moment until Art Camber comes in, his heels clicking loudly on the marble floor. Carl Hampe and Phil Sullivan have just decided they want their hair cut shorter, and Joe Seivers has volunteered to do the job. John Cole and Dot Aheam are having a game of poker where no one will disturb them — in the aisle! In walked Bill Mahoney and John White, slightly early after a rough night studying for their college finals . In conclusion of this memorable evening, we are bidden farewell by Joan Kett. official hostess of this Inaugural Bean Supper. Most Sophisticated Carolyn Pratt and Joe Sievers am ' -. ••«•
