Friedlund and Hussey run high hurdles. Track Sqaaa' Has Gooa' Season The track squad under the direction of Coach Jack Bryant had a very fine season. They finished high in almost every meet they were in. They won a couple of meets in cluding their own Storm Lake--B.V. invitational track meet. The Tornadoes had many fine individual performers on the squad. Deni Galbraith in the shot put, Steve Stille in the high jump, Denny Cameron in the pole vault, Dan Friedlund in the high hurdles, Dave Schroll in the broad jump and low hurdles, Barry Beekmann in the 440, and Bari Strader in the 100, always finished high in the events. Dave, Denny, Deni, and the relay teams of Bowels, McPherren, Schroll, and Miller all advanced to the state track meet. Bari Strader finishes first in the 100 yard dash in the Storm Lake-B.V. invitational held here. Storm Lake won the meet handily over five other schools. 76
