s .st ls Mr. R. A. Robertson's keen interest in our Alma Mater was first evident when he became president of the J. E. Robins Elementary School Parent Teachers' Association. He later became president of the Woodrow Wilson Parent Teachers' Association and of the Charleston Parent Teacher Council. As president of the Kanawha County Board of Education, he was elected chairman of the Sites Committee in determining the location of the building of Stonewall Jackson High School. He has been especially interested in our progress because the school is situated in his own immediate community, and he has shown a great deal of this personal interest by visiting our school frequently. Therefore, it is to one who has so willingly and cheerfully given his helpful guidance and untiring service, to one whose professional and per- sonal integrity fires each of us with enthusiasm to strive to become a higher and finer type of a student, it is to MR. R. A. ROBERTSON that we respectfully dedicate this second volume of the JACKSON IAN.
