Languages Are The Keys To Inter- National Understanding LANGUAGE DEPT. Foreign languages become increasingly im- portant as modern transportation brings our world neighbors closer to us. While teaching us the skills of foreign tongues, the teachers of our language department have acquainted us with the customs, art, literature, and cultural back- ground of these foreign neighbors as well. With this knowledge comes a greater understanding of these people. Gym class is not only an enjoyable recrea- tional period; it is also an opportunity to de- velop one ' s strength, stamina, and coordina- tion. While keeping our bodies well-con- ditioned, the physical education staff has taught us many skills in games as well as on the apparatus. The girls have mastered several games and have learned the basic and popular dance steps.
